BSc. (Honours) – Combined Chemistry and Oceanography, University of British Columbia
MSc. – Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences, University of British Columbia. “Sedimentary Tracers of Sewage Inputs to the Southern Strait of Georgia”. (https://circle.ubc.ca/handle/2429/7607)
My main interest consists of developing analytical protocols and of improving instrument performance, in collaboration with Nu Instruments.
My responsibilities, together with other PCIGR group members, comprises of the monitoring the daily operation and maintenance of the Nu-AttoM ICP-MS, Nu Plasma I and Nu Plasma II MC-ICP-MS. I train and work with students and staff to determine Nd, Hf, Pb and Li isotopes in samples by MC-ICP-MS and concentrations of trace elements and REE and Pb isotopes by ICP-MS.
In parallel, I am also responsible for the determination of stable isotopes of C and N in solid samples by Deltaplus EA (elemental analyser)-MS.
